Join us on the first Saturday of October for a day of art, music, food and a celebration of the prairie. The day starts with a Matfield Green Open Studios tour followed by an opening of two new exhibitions of photographs at The School with music, lawn games, and a cookout supper featuring grass-fed burgers from Homestead Ranch. 2-5 pm Open Studios throughout Matfield Green (more details to come)
5-6 pm Opening Reception for “The Color of Rain” photographs by Don Wolfe and “Eye to Eye: Wildlife of the Flint Hills” photographs by Greg Kramos. Plus live music from local musicians.
6-7 pm Cookout supper featuring grilled hamburgers with grass-fed beef from Homestead Ranch (or veggie burgers), baked beans, chips, and homemade cookies and bars. Suggested Donation: $15
5-8 pm lawn games (croquet, bocce, frisbee and more) on the schoolyard.
