Join us here at The School for a full day of art, music, food, and conversation with the the Tallgrass Artist Residency and guest speaker, Sarah Smarsh, author of Heartland.
The day begins at 10:00am with the Open Studios Tour around Matfield Green (and Community Coffee Hour here at The School), followed by installations and exhibitions of Tallgrass Artists at various locations around town from 12:30-1:00.
From 2:00-5:30pm we will hear from speakers and performers including musicians, Clay Gonzalez and Kory Reeder, and guest speaker, Sara Smarsh
At 6:00pm we will be serving our local foods supper featuring:
Chili made with grass-fed beef donated by Homestead Ranch and vegetables out of our gardens. Served with tortilla chips and cheese. Vegan option available.
Salad with greens and asian brown pears grown in Matfield, a homemade vinaigrette, and feta cheese from Grazing Plains Farm.
Homemade cookies and bars from local residents.
Suggested donation for the meal is $20 with all proceeds going to renovations and programming at The School. Cash or check is preferred, but online payment through our website is also available.
