Kelly Werts will lead a Kansas Day program full of Kansas history and folk songs. Kelly spent years studying and performing the music of the Kansas pioneers, discovering songs about life in sod houses, cattle drives and other popular music of the 1800s. Kelly brings the story of the Free State to life with his voice, accompanying himself with piano, spoons, and even the jawbone of a horse.
Following the program, join us for a light meal including sloppy joes with local grass-fed beef, sunflower cookies, and apple cider. Freewill donations accepted. Hope to see you here, Ad Astra Per Aspera!
